This is why you need a topcoat:
The stamped polish has a rough texture. A topcoat will smooth that out completely.Here is an example with and without a topcoat. Do you see the difference?
Again, the 2 nails on the left are without. The 2 on the right are with a topcoat.

I use the Konad brand topcoat when I stamp designs on my nails :)
