This challenge is to be inspired by the book cover. Use colors, shapes, etc. that are found in its design. You may use elements/ideas found inside of the book (such as characters or things) but be sure that your nails are still inspired by the OUTSIDE! When you are done, photograph your nails with your book so we can see how the cover translates onto your nails.

Preferred file size: 7" WIDE x 5.25" TALL @ 72 dpi
If you do not know how to crop and resize your image, let me know and I will gladly do it for you! It is better that I get a photo too large so I can minimize it to the size I need, rather than a photo too small. Photos that are smaller than the size I request will lose a lot of detail and become fuzzy when I enlarge them!

Oooh, great idea! If I had any talent for nail art I would love to do the Half Blood Prince's adult cover or the new Wicked cover! *hint hint*

ReplyDeleteCourtney- You can use any book that you'd like! You just have to use the book cover as inspiration for your nail design :)

Kind of funny also because my last challenge entry actually matched the cover of the book I was reading at the time (Dreamfever) & I meant to take a pic to include on my blog & forgot LOL. I've got a full bookshelf & several out from the library, the hard part will be choosing which to use =)

ReplyDeleteFun!! I don't physically have the book cover I want to use. I have a nook now. Is it cheating if I just add a pic of it? Or should I photograph my nails in a bookstore?? :)
ReplyDeleteLiz- LOL... well, don't inconvenience yourself by going to the bookstore just to take a picture of the book with your nails. Unless, of course, you need an excuse to go to there:) If you can't find the book, it is okay if you create a collage of the cover and your nails.
