Strawberry...Treasure?

OPI "Strawberry Margarita" topped with DS "Treasure"

My nails have grown back out so I don't mind shimmers and glitters so much anymore... I don't really know why, but I was in the mood for DS "Treasure". Since I'm not a huge orange polish fan, I decided to layer it over pink! I guess this is in the same family as China Glaze's "Strawberry Fields". It is pink with golden sparkles! I like it! I've actually been wearing this since Monday and it has held up during sanding [gasp!]... I'll tell you about that later.
Here are some more photos!

Bottle photos so you can see the colors alone:

Sparkles!

Hope you enjoyed this combo as much as I did :)

  15. Injection- Right now I'm using OPI's Nail Envy as a base coat. It really does make my nails feel harder when I have it on. I switched to OPI because my Seche Retain was drying out my nails and making them peel. I think the products used on your nails determines a lot whether they will peel or chip, etc. Also, I ALWAYS keep my nails polished (base color, 2-3 coats of color, and a top coat) so they are thicker and less prone to breaking! Last thing that works for me and maybe not others... I file my nails on the sides. I see soooo many people saying you shouldn't do it but it actually helps my nails. My nails flatten out as they get longer so they lose the natural arch in them. When they fan out like this, they are more likely to get caught on something and snap. I file the sides so they are more narrow, better looking, and to keep them out of the way! Hope that helps! :)

  19. I'm not too crazy about pink nail polish, but I really do like how this looks!
I was wondering what kind of brush you use for your clean up? If you use a brush of course. Your application always looks flawless!

  20. Can you please post your routine for your GORGEOUS cuticles??? They are FLAWLESS!!!!

  21. Tanja- Thanks! Here is a quick post I did on polish clean-up. It has a picture of the brush I use: http://polishhoarderdisorder.blogspot.com/search/label/Tricks%20And%20Tips

Jen- Thank you for the complement but I don't have a routine! I don't really do anything special to my cuticles... I moisturize my hands before they get too dry/rough. I gently nudge my cuticles back before I polish my nails so I'm able to paint more of my nail bed. I trim hang-nails with cuticle clippers so they don't snag. And lastly, I use Lush Lemony Flutter to moisturize just the cuticles about every other day. That's it! :)
