Essie "Turquoise And Caicos" Plus Glitter

What It Is

Nfu Oh's "GS01" (a Glitter Series polish) over Essie's "Turquoise & Caicos" (from the 2010 Resort Collection). GS01 is an almost pastel, multi-colored glitter. "Turquoise & Caicos" is a semi-sheer polish that can build [eventually] into an opaque finish.

Application

Loved the color of "T&C" but its application was a pain in the butt! Runny and sheer. Bad combo. I tried thicker layers to get better coverage but the polish ended up flooding my cuticles and causing bubbles. I was able to mask them with the glitter though :)
I know I show you Nfu Oh "GS01" ALL THE TIME but I love it! The glitters are small and not in-your-face... so, so pretty! Have I convinced you that you need some Nfu Oh's yet? :) I've seemed to convince myself that I need another one! You can check out my other Nfu Oh's by clicking HERE or visiting my "Inventory (Nfu Oh)" link on my navigation bar above!

  1. Great covering of bubbles, I haven't noticed any!
That's exactly what I do if I get bubbles: make 'em glitter!

And now I'm jealous of you NFU.OH collection :sighs:

  3. Yes, I *need* some Nfu Oh. I have a few on my Christmas list (along with a link) - I'm crossing my fingers that somebody pays attention to my list. LOL One of my coworkers walked by as I was reading your post and she said "OOOH! Get THAT one!" :D

  6. I just got a heap of Nfu Oh including several opal collection (flakies) and a holographic and love them! Wish they were easier to get in Australia - I have to get someone to order them in and then send them to me :( AT least I have ease of access to Ozotic :)

  7. Hey, just wondering if you could recommend/suggest a nfu oh "gs01" substitute? Not that easy for me to get in the uk sadly :(.

  9. I love what you did with this color. I passed on T&C since I have Nhu Foh 394, but now this has me re-thinking it....or maybe I should get GS01?? At first glance at the thumbnail pic, I thought, "Wow she matched her mani with her ring!", then I saw what it really was and I'm like, "Oh, nevermind." Very cool. HA!

  11. This is really pretty! I think Turq and Caicos is the only nail polish I've worn in a long long time where strangers were complimenting me on my nail color. It's fricken gorgeous and that glitter just adds to the loveliness.

  13. Glitter fixes everything. I also own Essie Turq & Caicos...not a fan...I'm sticking with ChG For Audrey.

  14. At first glance I thought your macro 'picture in picture' shot was a big matching cocktail ring!

The color is gorgeous - as is the glitter top coat.

  16. Thank you all for the comments! :)

Suzie- I think China Glaze's "Snow Globe" is similar to this polish. Not exactly the same though... I think the glitter is larger.

  17. Oh thanks for the comparison shade. I had a look on eBay last night and my usual/favourite US seller had CG polar ice so I ordered that, today the same seller has snow globe! Hmm can I justify buying both!?

Thanks again :) love your blog and your pics.
