Essie (Winter 2010) - Going Incognito

Essie "Going Incognito"

What It Is

A deep bluish-green creme; think of OPI's "Jade Is The New Black" but a touch darker! It's a perfect shade for fall and winter.  Part of Essie's Winter 2010 collection.

Application/Wear

Pictured is 3 coats of "Going Incognito". This polish applied very smoothly and had decent wear! I wore it for 3 whole days with only a little tip wear.
I purchased this product from Von Maur (my favorite department store ever). Who knew they'd start carrying Essie nail polish!?... And that's why Von Maur is my favorite!

  1. Your nails are perfectly perfect! So neat. Thanks for reviewing this color. I picked it up and then put it back down yesterday. May just give this one a second look.

  2. AllThingsNails- Thank you :) I like this color a lot! If you have OPI Jade Is The New Black, then you are probably fine w/o Going Incognito. They are very similar... this one is just a little darker.

  4. I love your pics. :-)
Going Incognito is a really nice color, I've been wanting it for a while now...

  5. I don't know that you'd be able to go incognito with that color. LOL It is, however, a great color! Your nails look good that length.

  6. It's one of my favourites for this winter! :) And I actually got away with only one coat of it. No streaks, bald patches, nothing. This is a great one from Essie.

  7. I bought this color last week, but haven't tried it yet. Your swatches are gorgeous! I was starting to wonder if the nail bloggers were boycotting this collection... I couldn't find swatches ANYWHERE.

  9. I love this green! I just saw this collection in stores and I really like it! I'm really good the formula and wear is good.

  10. JiTNB completely slipped my mind as a dupe to this. Love it, but why are your photos so blurred/smeared looking? Me no likey.

  11. Anonymous- Yes, I agree :)

Ramina- Thank you! I definitely recommend it! Formula and wear was great!

Megan- No way! It's a bold color! :) Thanks so much. I'm really liking my nails right now...

    Silva- :) Me too!

Mylittlevanities- I can believe that! My base coat makes my polish streak so I, for sure, will always need at least 2 coats... then a 3rd coat if I forget to wrap my tips!

Grace- Yah I haven't seen much of this collection either. They aren't really THAT unique... but gorgeous non-the-less. I still like it!

    Lisa- Thank you!

Varnish Vixen- :) I love it too!

Arrianne- Ahaha! I've been taking photos with a wide aperture. That makes the object I'm focused on in "focus" but everything away from it starts to get fuzzy. PLUS, I've been reducing the noise of my pictures in Photoshop so the wrinkles in my skin is less distracting... Sorry you don't like it!

  12. Every time I see your shorter nails it strikes me how good shorties look!!
That's a great polish, but I think I will skip this one *looks at her neglected bottle of JiTNB* :P

  13. Oh, okay. I didn't mind your skin wrinkles, as if you had any. ;)
