Creme de Menthe

OPI 22 comments

No, not really... but that's what I thought of after seeing this!
I layered one coat of OPI "Megawatt" over OPI "Damone Roberts 1968" and this is what I got. Do you like it? It's very pretty but I'm not a shimmer person. "Megawatt" lives up to its name. It's like the polish is glowing. It is sooo bright! I might try it over a pink. I've always liked pink and yellow/gold together.

Lovely. Slightly brushstroke-city but these macros (or whatever) show up the tiniest detail.

This is a really gorgeous combination! I definitely need to try something like this. I always love the way your photos turn out! Do you have a tutorial for them at all?

Very pretty. Looks so different on the nail than in the bottle.
    I want. :)

Ooh, absolutely love this! I'd love to see this over a pink or even blue, just to see what it looks like since you've piqued my curiosity.

Hey guys! Thanks for all of the comments. Sorry if I tricked some of you by calling it "Creme de Menthe" ;) But since CdM is so unobtainable I thought I'd show another option to get a similar look! I'm definitely going to try this over other colors since several of you are interested :)

Gah, I wish you'd done this before I spent way too much on Creme de Menthe. This looks fantastic - what a brilliant idea! Even if Damone Roberts is sold out again, there are many similar colors - you've just saved scores of ladies buckets of money!

    I love yellowish-greens!
    Does Megawatt still "exists"?

Sara B- It "exists" because I found it in a salon not too long ago but I think it was a lucky find. Many of the polishes they had were old... I'm sure Megawatt is discontinued though.
