OPI "Funny Bunny"
I bought this color because A) I needed another white, as my bottle was beginning to run low... and B) It was on sale. Little did I know, this white is the opposite of opaque. I really hated it at first... but like they all do, it grew on me. My opinion of it now: it's a cool, milky white. Ghostly kinda... It would be good for a Halloween themed manicure!

Below are 2 photos of the same thing. I can't decide whether I like the photos I get with my Canon or the ones from my Nikon better...?
[ABOVE] With my Canon, it's so much easier and faster to take pictures. I just point and shoot... but sometimes the photos are distorted (from photographing too close) and my skintone looks too red. I'm "olive" toned...
[BELOW] My Nikon lets me focus on objects closest to me and blur everything that recedes into the background. This is my favorite effect in photographs! :) BUT my skintone is off in these, as well. I look pale!
I thought I'd see what you guys like better! Let me know :)

Very pretty! I think i like the Canon pics better, but that just may be because I saw them first.
ReplyDeleteGhostly is the right word I guess, I really like it - to me it has a slightly lilac tone to it, but maybe that's just my computer.

ReplyDeleteTo answer your question, I like the pics from the Canon better, because your skintone looks more 'real' in them. Maybe it's just a matter of lighting here, so it's hard to make a choice in 2 pics, but still.

I've really been into white polishes lately and this one is lovely! It's impossible to pick a bottle of white polish without seeing swatches in my opinion. So many of them are super sheer!!! Or they end up looking like white out which I find unappealing. My current favorite whites are Zoya Gaia & American Apparel Cotton.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful white :) It's so soft, milky... I love it. Canon pics are better, Nikon ones have a greenish cast.

ReplyDeleteJust a thought but have you looked at your white balance on the Nikon? Assuming the canon is your point and shoot it is probably set to auto white balance, if you are using your Nikon in anything other than full auto (and I am guessing you are as you are using depth of field creatively) you might find that you need to re-set your white balance to correct how your skin tone looks. Just a suggestion, hope it helps!
