Geez... how many more Valentine themed manicures am I going to do?? The problem is: I have soooooo many Konad plates and I want to get some use out of them all!
Before I decided to add the glitter:
I've determined that layered designs need 3 elements to look complete [in my opinion]. Don't you think my nails are missing something in this photo? That's why I added the glitter :)
Base: OPI Elephantastic Pink
Rose: M25 in Silver (Konad Special Polish)
Heart Bunch: M59 in Red (Konad Special Polish)
Glitter: Nfu Oh GS09
Here is the look pre-rose:
Personally, I like the nails with just the hearts... but I really wanted to try out that rose.
And below is a hand shot. (Pre-glitter)
This is my favourite by far. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!! You always come up with the pretties colour compinations :)

ReplyDeleteSanna- Thanks! That's one of the hardest parts of doing my nails!... especially with all the colors I have to choose from ;)
Lily nail- Aww thanks!
Gildedangel- Thank you :)
Trincess- Haha thanks! I keep having to trim my other nails so my index finger can catch up to them! I think I like them this length though! At least I don't scratch my eyes trying to take out my contacts!! :) Glad you like my stuff! I'm really trying to get the layered look figured out... It's tricky!
You have done some really cool designs these past coupla days. I've really enjoyed them and the new hand shot is nice!
ReplyDeleteI love these. Your designs are amazing. They are inspiring me to try more designs.
ReplyDeleteLove your v-day manis! Very inspiring :) :)
ReplyDeleteThat's some gorgeous layering. The glitter is like a bit of frosting. <3
ReplyDeleteI love how you combine the colours and patterns! I'm totally stunned!
ReplyDeleteI like that so much!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful in all stages.
ReplyDeleteI love your hand poses.... with the mirror & on your hip = very innovative!
Omg, I LOVE you V-manis! :))
ReplyDeleteFantastic - for me I like it more without the glitter it's such a pretty design. Hilarious that I was looking at your blog yesterday and my husband, who is so not into nail anything!, said "wow how on earth do you do that?" and he found your blog very informative!!
ReplyDeleteI love these Vday manis! I even showed your blog to my husband.
ReplyDeleteI have a question about Polish To Wear Now. It's February, so it's still the "winter" season. What are the Politically Correct colors to wear in February? I think it's still too early to wear light pinks. Is it too late to wear dark purples and browns? What about oranges? Any help here would be hot. Thank you!
simply beautiful beyond words!
ReplyDeletewoooow love these nails chick

i love all ur nail art mani.. u're so awesome on creating those konadicure!!!! u're so fabulous!!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThank you for ALL for the wonderful comments! :) Thank you, thank you, thank you!
ReplyDeleteFaith J- I don't really follow the rules as far as season-appropriate colors. I pretty much wear whatever I feel like wearing. Right now I'm wearing green, but a few days ago I wore a bright orange. Personally, I think reds and pinks are always "in" no matter what month it is... If you want to play it safe, I'd suggest choosing from the current color palette you see in clothing stores or from nail polish brands, like OPI's Fall/Winter collection. Hope that helps!
wow, this look is simply beautiful! Whichever stage you're at - without glitter, with glitter, pre-rose, etc, all the photos look awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love all of your Konad designs! I love every one of them! You are the best Konader on the planet! I want to grow up to be you!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Musicalhouses, it looks nice in every stage! And the glitter really makes it stand out, very nice :)
ReplyDeleteyou make the most lovely manicures! i tend to not love konads and glitters and such but you make them look positively chic!! adore j'adore.
ReplyDeleteAdorable. We're new on the nail block... but I've been on your site quite a bit because many of your looks I LOVE! Hope all is well.
