NOX twilight "Wine And Dine"

NOX twilight "Wine & Dine"

I told you I'd be back with more NOX! This is 2 coats of "Wine & Dine"...

From looking at the bottle, I imagined this polish would have a silver and champagne speckled finish... I immediately thought of Edward's glimmering skin in the sunlight!... So naturally, I was super excited about this unusual polish and swatched it first! Turns out, it looks very different on the nail. This is actually a foil.

I DO like this color. I think it would be a good polish for conservative work environments. I definitely should have used a ridge filler though. The shimmers in this polish catch the light and show every peeling corner of my nails! Uh! I think my base coat was drying out my nails! Anyone have any good suggestions?

[Above] See what I mean about the finish looking completely different?... But I LIKED the way it looked in the bottle!!! So... I added some silver glitter! :)

Ahhhh! So pretty!

(This product sample was sent to me for consideration)

  1. When it comes to twilight inspired polishes i prefered the ones from esscence (of course i don't own any i'm just talking for what i've seen in swatches from different blogs). Their colours can be more related to twilight and the names they have are awesome :p.

  2. Starlight- Yah, me too! It's a good classic color.

Yombix- I agree with you on the names... but their colors are pretty safe. AND they only have 5 to choose from. NOX has 12 different shades...

  3. That looks totally different in the first picture (light box?) vs your outdoor pics. Either way, it's a great color.

  4. Megan- Yah, I hate taking outdoor photographs of nail polish! The sun is too strong (doesn't help that I took it at noon!)... The polish looks silver in the outside shots but that is just the silver in the foil reflecting the light. It definitely has a pinkish color in real life! I ALWAYS think my lightbox pictures are better :) Thanks for your comment :)

  5. Last two posts have been interesting. This polish seems very unique. I totally agree with you with the names! Will be interesting to see if they'll do more NOX product placement in the upcoming films. Hate to see this brilliant series is becoming another Harry Potter though :(

  11. What glitter polish did you add? I see a bottle of China Glaze in the background, was it Tinsel? (I hope so, I have that one!)
