China Glaze - Party Hearty (Layering)

China Glaze 39 comments

China Glaze "Party Hearty"

What It Is

A magnificiant combination of glitter! This is the most festive holiday glitter I've ever seen and I'm LOVING it! I believe there are 3 sizes of glitter floating around in this polish: large hexagonal red glitter, regular sized green glitter, and very small gold and silver glitter! I will try to add a closeup of this polish soon! How could I forget!? Check! ...Part of China Glaze's 'Tis The Season (to be naughty AND nice) Holiday 2010 collection.

Ways To Wear It

This past weekend, I went on a swatchathon to be able to show you fun examples (including non-traditional combos) of ways to layer this polish! Hope you enjoy them! This took a lot longer than I thought and I went through a TON of cotton balls :)

P.S.

All swatches shown are 2 coats of polish and 1 coat of glitter, unless otherwise noted. Base colors are listed below the pictures.

Nfu Oh #70

Essie "Going Incognito"

China Glaze "Ruby Pumps"

OPI "Pink-ing Of You"

Layered UNDER OPI "Funny Bunny"

And on top of OPI "Funny Bunny"

Nfu Oh #154

Gold: OPI "I Get A Kick Out Of Gold"... Silver: Nfu Oh #67

So... what do you think? Which one is your favorite combination?

Oh my god. Has anyone told you you're brilliant lately? I'd have NEVER thought to layer it under a sheer!! I love the look of it under Funny Bunny - I'm trying that ASAP. You are awesome!

Redrover189- Haha! Thanks :) I also did the same thing with Lippmann's "Some Enchanted Evening". Kind of makes it look like candy. I love it! :)

I kept thinking "Oh, I like that" and then I'd say it again with the next combo. LOL My fave of this group is over the gold and silver. And what a great idea to layer it UNDER a sheer. See, this is why I love your blog - always with the great ideas!

Love it over Going Incognito, Ruby Pumps and #154.
The layering under Funny Bunny is really cool, looks like Party Hearty with milk. :-D And now I guess I need Funny Bunny. :)

Great swatches, and fun to watch! I like it over Ruby pumps and under Funny bunny the most. It's in the mail and I think I'll try it over Ruby pumps and Emerald sparkle first ;).

I really like over everything! But probably Going Incognito the best followed by the OPI pink as that's the most unexpected combo for me. :)

And I finally managed to talk myself out of buying it today (as I'd really only wear it at Christmas) and placed my order for my selection of the collection. Now I need it again. :P

All of these look great, but I am IN LOVE with the Funny Bunny layering. It reminds me of white chocolate Christmas candy. What exactly was the process? Did you put the sheer down first or the glitter? How many layers?

I think my brain 'tilted' on all that sparkle. They are all awesomely beautiful. For full Christmas effect, I'm picking the mani with Ruby Slippers.
