They look gorgeous, right? I've never used Nabi polishes before but I've seen some on Nihrida's blog so I thought they might be worthy of my time...? I decided to use the pink (actually called "Purple Big Glitter") over OPI's It Color.
[Above] Now seriously, who said that?! "The best nail polish I've ever used"? What a joke. Other reasons I'm disappointed in these polishes: They smell GROSS! When I open the bottle I feel like I just stepped into an auto body shop. It's an awful paint smell. Also, it has a thick, sticky consistency. Yuck! I feel like I have super glue all over my nails! Have you ever tried super glueing your nail back together after it broke? Well, it gets all over. It runs all over your nail and floods your cuticle. That is basically what this polish did to me. I'm taking it all off now!
LOL@ Who said that?
I do have to say that the yellow with the glitter is CUTE. Love it. Too bad you didnt have good luck with these.
L- Thank you! It is cute but with all of those gooey glitter (or should I say "lack of glitter") coats, it was sooooo thick! Ick.
The person that they quoted on the bottle had never worn nail polish before. lol
Evil Angel- Obviously! Haha. Maybe they based their opinion on appearance alone. To me, it is the very opposite of "best"!
I'm sorry your had such a bad experience with your nabi polishes. Mine aren't *that* bad. =) Guess you'll have to ''fish'' for the glitter.
How nice of your bf! Too bad these didn't turn out that great. I was thinking about ordering some, now I am reconsidering. Thanks for posting this!
I think the glitter is pretty but too bad it takes so long to get some on the nail. :)
I love love love love love your OPI Purple With A Purpose & Silver Stripe Rite all the way around. AWESOME.
How did you apply it so perfect?
Susie
I tagged you for a Beauty Blogger award :o) thanks for being a brilliant blogger! http://polishandpowder.blogspot.com/2010/01/beauty-blogger-award.html
That looks so cool, and I love that outline mani, it is so creative!
Aw, I'm sorry your polishes didn't turn out that great. I love your manicures and your blog, though. :o)
I normally don't like yellow polish but this looks pretty awesome!
The bottles look so promising, sad to see and hear that they don't transfer well... I'm sure you'll find a good use for them =) Aww, thank you for doing the tips, to me they look interesting, and in a very good way! Definitely attention catching =)
The It Color looks really good on you :) I could never pull that off.
Oh, I did laugh at your "Who said that comment". Dear me, very disappointing polish. What a shame, especially when you think it's going to be fantastic. I feel sorry for your BF after he did such a nice deed! They like to think that what they give you is wonderful. Frustrating when it isn't :(
I found the same problem with some NYX polishes. I ended up with not much glitter and a ton of clear polish. I like where you were going with the glitter. It does look pretty.
THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR COMMENTS :)
Nihrida- If I must fish for the glitter, I think I will need a net instead of a pole! The brush really does not want to cooperate!
Contests and Such- I don't recommend these at all!
Susies1955- I used a Stripe Rite polish and painted very slowly and meticulously! It was super hard to paint my right hand nails though... since I'm right-handed!
MeganChair- Thanks so much!
(Kirsten)- Thanks! I don't know what I was thinking when I picked out yellow IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER! Haha. I does look better with the glitter on it though :)
Trincess- Thanks! I figured I might as well give it a try! It was only one extra stripe! :) It definitely looked better than I had imagined it would!!
Stephanie- Thank you :) I think it might look better in the pictures than it did in real-life... or maybe I'm just not used to wearing yellow and that's why I didn't care for it.
Diva's Polish- Haha... yah, poor guy :) I'm not going to tell him that they weren't very good. But he got me lots of other good things I can be excited about!
Lucy- Thank you! I don't know how I'm ever going to get any of that glitter out...? Someone needs to invent some sort of nail polish strainer so, in cases like this, we can drain out all of the darn clear polish!
