OPI Purple With A Purpose & Silver Stripe Rite
I'm always trying to come up with something that I haven't seen before. I think this may be it... I used Purple With A Purpose and a Stripe Rite (silver glitter):
I applied 2 coats of Purple With A Purpose.
Then, I outlined my nail with silver glitter... This was actually kind of tough. I had to be patient and especially careful to make the glitter stripes even (not wavy or sparse in areas).
The outcome is very cool. Haha. That word ("cool") is so goofy but I don't know how else to describe it! Spunky? Unique, I guess...
[Above] I got a new crystal file! Well, I had to. I busted my other one a few days ago. It was on the floor and I knelt on it. SNAP! Oopsy. Since getting my new file, I can tell you that they do indeed wear down. This one is working much better than my old file. Here is a black and white photo. It shows the contrast of the silver on the purple better than in the colored pictures.

Trincess- I didn't close off the tips with silver because I thought it might make my nails look even shorter. I will give it a try before I remove my polish though!

OMG lovely combination! Purple with a purpose is so gorgeous by itself, but combined with the silver...so fantastic! Plus, i do love the idea of not just lining the tips with silver...Thanks for this beautiful manicure!

May I ask, where did you get your glass file? Did you add the pretty bling yourself or did it come that way? I'm going to have to try your fantastic idea for the mani, just beautiful!
Jenn- I got my file from Trade Secret but I see them all over the place. This one came with rhinestones. They are also available without them. Glad you like my manicure :)

Super great mani!!! I bought a Nail Tek crystal file that ALSO had the little gemies on it and came in a nice pink case. Mine shattered when I dropped it on the floor and Nail Tek replaced it for FREE (I did pay $5 shipping).
