I must admit, this turned out much better than I expected!
Here is the look pre-hearts:
Lately, I've been trying to master layered-stamping. I've learned that the best way to achieve this is to have a subtle background stamp and then a dominant (in this case, a white stamp) design which steals the spotlight.
Base: OPI Kinky In Helsinki
Background: Konad M60 in Psyche Hot Pink
Heart: Konad M59 in White
If you have seen image plate M59 then you know the heart design has a stupid star in the corner of the big heart. Why would they do that!? Hearts and stars don't go together! I applied the rhinestones to cover up the star. I really love the addition of the gem. Now my nails sparkle and feel so glamorous... yes, even in a sweatshirt:
Look how cute they are!
This is another photo in different lighting:
You guys should try this! It's so fun and very Valentine-y! By the way, I don't even like Valentine's Day... I just like pink and hearts :) Have a nice day!!
PerryPie- I've never tried stamping with anything other than Konad special polish... I'm considering giving it a try though because I am tired of having to use the Konad topcoat. It is yellowish, gives me lots of bubbles, and gets thick and useless before the bottle is even half empty! :(
Thanks for the reply. And let me know what you think if you ever try it. I figure since all the other mattes are so good for stamping, maybe Alpine snow would be too. I don't konad myself, but my best friend does a lot and I'm considering getting her Alpine snow for her birthday. So any feedback would be useful. =)
PerryPie- I would not get your friend Alpine Snow MATTE... the matte polishes dry waaaaaaaay too fast for the whole Konad stamping process. I think the regular Alpine Snow would work better. That's just my opinion though :)
Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to leave a comment. I appreciate each and every one of them! Also, don't forget to check out my links above. There you'll find a section about me, my complete list of OPI (including photos!), and other important information. Enjoy :)
