Lippmann - Razzle Dazzle

Deborah Lippmann 27 comments

Deborah Lippmann "Razzle Dazzle"

What It Is:

A burgundy jelly polish with lots of tiny pink glitters. Part of the All That Jazz trio.

How I Wore It:

I was most excited about this polish from the trio. So... in an effort to make my bottle last longer (since a backup bottle is out of the question, as this is currently only sold in a set) I layered it over OPI "Bastille My Heart". I used 2 coats of "Bastille My Heart" and 1 coat of "Razzle Dazzle". The two polishes worked perfectly together!

[BELOW] Extreme close-up...

Like it? Love it? or Gotta have it? (Coldstone anyone?)
On a separate note, I'm trying different top coats and having no luck. I used Essie's Super Duper top coat with this manicure. As you can see, it does not create a smooth surface like Vite would. Plus, it took forever to dry! I sat on my hand and now I have a denim print in my polish! :(

I love it! :)) I'm always trying new top coats too, and always going back to Seche vite.

Helennicethings did a great comparisson recently od quick dry topcoats- http://www.just-nice-things.co.uk/?p=9299

I personally am on ChinaGlaze fast forward at the moment and I'm relatively happy with it, though it does have a little shrinkage, it seems pretty fast. My speed demon became molasses after 1/2 way through!

I love all the lippman glitters!

I love this polish! I think layering it is definitely the way to go because this guy stains like crazy! My nails are going to be berry colored until they grow out. :(

I've also been trying different top coats because I'm sick of dealing with shrinkage (and wrapping is a PITA for me). So far no luck...its either a quick dry top coat with shrinkage or I get sheet imprints on my nails. :(

That a pretty blingy color, hope to be able to try out a DL myself one day, they are just way too expensive and the shipping as well :/ It seems they are worth it though! Seen some amazing colors so far :)

Blu11- There has to be something other than Vite out there! When I find it, I will let everyone know :)

Emybloom- How does the CG compare to Vite? Is it any better or relatively the same? Thanks for the link! I will check it out :)

Brooke- :) Yes! I love it!

Varnish Vixen- Oh no! I am still wearing it so I hope it doesn't stain through the OPI. Is that even possible? :) I don't mind wrapping my tips. I've kinda gotten into the habit of doing it... it's the shrinkage at the cuticles that drives me crazy!!

Iris- I'm loving the ones I have (just 4)! I ordered mine from Zappos.com... it was tax free and no shipping fee in the US.

    Mina- :)

I wish i could buy that brand here :) it looks so pretty!
I use as a topcoat Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri (the one in a read bottle) and it's awesome. It leaves a smooth surface and dries in 30 seconds (for real! because most polishes promise that and it's never true lol).

I should kick myself now... I had no idea they were available at Zappos. And I just ordered a pair of boots through a friend... she could have stuffed them with Deborah Lippman polishes :D.

beautiful color. I would recommend trying the NailTek quicken topcoat. I usually use seche vite as well, but i found the nailtek topcoat and treatment together at Ross for really cheap and it works pretty well.

Gorgeous color <3 I wanted to order this trio but with no succes :/ I did'n find any online store that would ship it to my country.

My favorite top coat is Essie Good To go! It works great with all polishes and also smooth the surface of the chunkier ones :)

You should do a storage post! I was reading through your past posts and saw you mentioning how organized you stay (the konad kit post with the plastic box), and would love to see how you store your huge collection.

I agree with Sally Hansen Insta Dri. It's like Seche without the pulling. Although I never used Seche, I know it's uber glossy and dries super fast. Insta Dri is also very glossy but it might dry just a tad slower. Dry to touch in 60 sec, rock hard mani in half an hour. I think it's worth it, because there is absolutely no tip-pulling, no shrinking, nothing.
it's my holy grail topcoat =)
